Resthave Nursing Home offers a variety of activities to residents throughout the year. Whether residents are going to the weekly Bingo games on Monday afternoon or seeing Christmas lights in December there is always some activity available for the residents to participate in.

Be a Resthave Volunteer and Make a Difference in Someone's Day!

• Read a book or Bible passage
• Take a walk or give a wheelchair ride
• Help with a simple craft
• Tell entertaining stories
• Share a talent or collection: Musical instruments, magic show, dolls, etc.
• Show travel pictures and tell stories about the area you visited
• Provide outdoor visits
• Assist with a garden program and/or plant doctor for house plants
• Scrapbooking
• Weekly or monthly sports talk visit and/or facilitate a men's group
• Weekly or monthly staying in touch group: help write letters, etc.
• Hold tea parties
• Help with current activity programs such as nail care or bingo
• Pet visits
• Lead a book club for example: A Purpose Driven Life, etc.
• Lead a simple board game or dice game, such as, Scrabble, Uno, dominoes
