Our dietary staff serves well-prepared, nutritious meals. All residents have a physician's ordered diet. A registered dietitian reviews doctor's orders and menus to ensure that State/Federal guidelines are followed.
Visitors are welcome to dine with loved ones at any time, either by bringing in a special meal or choosing from Resthave's menu. A small fee is charged for guest meals. An envelope for payment will be provided. When holidays are upon us, we request a 48-hour notice. This will provide adequate food and placement for our guests.
When taking a resident out for a meal, we ask that both the Charge Nurse and the dietary department be informed. Nursing Residents sign out at the Nurse's station and sign back in upon their return. Retirement Residents sign a register on the podium near the front door.
We discourage Residents from keeping food in their rooms, but if so, we ask that items be non-perishable and kept in a tightly sealed container. Due to State/Federal regulations, the dietary department is unable to accept food to be stored for a Resident.
