Bonnie Bauscher retires from Resthave after 30 years. Bonnie started in the Dietary department as a cook and later became the Dietary Manager. Bonnie states "Being the Dietary supervisor these last 10 years has been a very rewarding experience from supervising staff, planning menus for the residents, Ice Cream Socials and planning staff Christmas parties. Bonnie also states she will miss everyone.
Bonnie also shared that she is excited to begin retirement as her husband is also retiring and that they plan to do a little traveling, fishing, home improvements and most of alll enjoy the grandkids.
Resthave staff and residents wish to thank Bonnie for her many years of faithful service as well as wish her many healthy and happy retirement years.

This September, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of Resthave Retirement and Nursing Home's establishment. A big thank you to everyone who showed up for the public event and enjoyed the food, music, and socializing. Photos of the event can be found on the right.

Dana Funderberg was honored with a cake and social time to celebrate her 20 years with Resthave. Resthave thanks her for her many years of service. Dana is a nurse who often brings her dog in for much appreciated pet visits.

Resthave residents and staff were both pleased and excited to have the Morrison Mustangs visit on Wednesday. We were happy to host a light lunch for them and visit and wish them well. We also wish to share our congratulations on their State Championship.

Resthave recently honored two long term employees with a cake and social time. Barb Shepard who has been an employee in the Dietary department for 30 years and Bonnie Bauscher who has been in the Dietary department for 25 years and currently serves as the Dietary manager. Resthave thanks them for their many years of service and their dedication to Resthave.

Resthave residents and staff donned western gear and the whole day featured western activities and food. A highlight of the day was when administrator Tami Tegeler brought two of her horses for residents and staff to see and pet. The horses actually are the prized horses of her daughters.

Resthave was pleased to have Dalbert Wiebenga, 2nd Assistant Chief to speak on the history of the Morrison Fire Department. It wa a very interesting talk and we thank him for coming. We also wish to thank all the firefighters for all they do and for so generously giving of their time. We held this event in conjunction with Fire Prevention Month and hope to have more of Morrison's firefighters visit next year.

Resthave held their annual dog show in honor of the dog days of summer. We thank all who attended. The human guests were treated to cut out cookies in the shape of bones and the dogs were given special treats as well. The residents were also served hot dogs for their noon meal to go with the days events.
